Turn Brush Cleaning into an Art Piece
“This Art Studio hack was shared with me by Fiona Moes Pel. Place a big canvas or piece of Masonite by the sink and get students to clean off their bushes on the canvas. It saves it going down the sink and is a fun way to create together. My students love adding to it.”

“I got this idea from Fiona, too, and my students love it. It’s a more environmentally friendly way to clean up acrylic paint. I just wish I’d taken a photo of it every day, and then put it into a stop motion video. I plan to do that when I start another canvas. Our current canvas looks pretty cool, and will be mounted on the studio wall as a permanent display.”
